SAP Functional Modules Training:

SAP CO module – Controlling:-

SAP Controlling (CO) is another important SAP module offered to an organization. It supports coordination, monitoring, and optimization of all the processes in an organization. SAP CO involves recording both the consumption of production factors and the services provided by an organization.
SAP CO includes managing and configuring master data that covers cost and profit centers, internal orders, and other cost elements and functional areas.
The main purpose of SAP controlling module is planning. It enables you to determine variances by comparing actual data with plan data and thus enables you to control business flows in your organization.

SAP CS module – Customer Service:-

This component supports you when representing, managing and processing all services that you provide to your customers. You can:

Structure and manage technical objects for which services should be performed (for example, technical systems, and machines)

Manage data for warranties and business partners, create service requests

Plan and execute requested services, Bill the costs that arise as a result of the services being executed and monitor call processing in order to keep to deadlines and agreed response times

SAP EWM module – Extended Warehouse Management:-

If you manage your warehouse stocks using the application component Inventory Management (MM-IM), then you manage the material stocks based on quantity and value in several storage locations. In contrast, EWM gives you the option of mapping your entire warehouse complex in detail in the system, down to storage bin level. Not only do you gain an overview of the entire quantity of a material in the warehouse, you can also always determine exactly where a certain material currently is in your warehouse complex. With EWM, you can optimize the use of various storage bins and stock movements, and can store together material stocks from several plants in random storage areas. Using EWM, you can control and optimize various processes in the warehouse.

SAP FI module – Financial Accounting:-

SAP FICO is a module used for financial reporting both externally and internally. The objective is to record all financial transactions that are posted by an entity and produce financial statements that are accurate at the end of the trading period. Full form or SAP FICO stands for FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling). This tutorial is going to explain the major functionalities with SAP FI module.

SAP HR module: – Human Resources:-

SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) is also called SAP-HR. SAP HCM consists of important sub-modules like Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time, payroll all of which will be discussed in detail.

SAP MM module:

Materials Management module in SAP consists of several components and sub- components. The most prominent and widely used are Master Data, Purchasing and Inventory. All of these components have their subcomponents that are essential in specific business processes, and all of the processes are executed by using transactions. Transaction (in SAP) means processing of certain information in order to complete business process requirement. For example, if you have purchased 10 pieces of litter buckets, you can perform particular transaction code (t-code) that will reflect those changes in SAP. Most of the business processes involve multiple SAP transactions to be accomplished and are spread over one, two or more modules.

SAP PM module – Plant Maintenance

This component contains the functions for Plant Maintenance.

Plant Maintenance comprises the following activities:

Inspection
All measures which establish the actual condition of a technical system

Preventive maintenance
All measures which maintain the ideal condition of a technical system

Repair
All measures which restore the ideal condition of a technical system
Other measures taken using the maintenance organization

SAP PP module – Production Planning:-

Production Planning is the process of aligning demand with manufacturing capacity to create production and procurement schedules for finished products and component materials.
SAP PP is an important module of SAP. It tracks and makes a record of the manufacturing process flows, for example, the planned and actual costs. Also, goods movements from the conversion of raw material to semi-finished goods.

It is fully integrated with the other SAP modules: SD, MM, QM, FICO & PM

SAP PS module – Project Systems:-

Project System is one of the key modules of SAP to perform project and portfolio management. It helps you to manage the project life cycle starting from structuring to planning, execution, until the project completion. Project system is closely integrated with other SAP modules like logistics, material management, Sales and Distribution, Plant Maintenance, and Production planning module.

It enables organizations to manage all SAP projects- large and small-scale projects efficiently. The Project Manager has a task to ensure that these projects are executed within budget and time and to ensure that resources are allocated to the project as per the requirement.

SAP QM module: – Quality Management:-

SAP Quality Management is a part of SAP R/3 system and is integrated with other SAP modules like SAP Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM). QM is an integral part of logistic management and it is used to perform quality functions such as quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control, at various stages such as incoming material stage, in-process manufacturing process stage, and after production as well.

SAP SD module – Sales and Distribution:-

SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) is an important module of SAP ERP consisting of business processes required in selling, shipping, billing of a product. The module is tightly integrated with SAP MM & SAP PP. Key sub-modules of SAP SD are Customer and Vendor Master Data, Sales, Delivery, Billing, Pricing, and Credit Management.

SAP WM module – Warehouse Management:-

The SAP WM (Warehouse Management) application provides flexible, automated support to assist you in processing all goods movements and in maintaining current stock inventories in your warehousing complex.
It handles the warehousing processes like Define and manage complex warehousing structures, Optimize material flow using advanced put away and picking techniques, Process goods receipts, goods issues and stock transfers quickly and easily etc.

SAP ABAP module – Advanced Business Application Programming:-

ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming), is a fourth-generation programming language, used for development and customization purposes in the SAP software. Currently positioned along with Java, as the main language for SAP application server programming, most of the programs are executed under the control of the run-time system.

ABAP is a high level programming language created by SAP that helps large corporations to customize the SAP ERP. ABAP can help customize workflows for financial accounting, materials management, asset management, and all other modules of SAP. SAP’s current development platform NetWeaver also supports both ABAP and Java. The full form of ABAP is Advanced Business Application.

SAP Basis module:-

AP Basis is the installation, administration & maintenance part of the SAP ERP. Here we are going to learn about SAP Basis. It shortly represent as SAP-BC. It deals with the complete SAP system administration. The role is similar to a network administration or a system admin.

The Basis administrator will deal with the SAP installations, its maintenance and upgradations, RDBMS and SAP GUI and everything related for a working SAP system. There are several tools for this administrators called Basis

SAP BI module – Business Intelligence:-

BI in SAP stands for “business intelligence“. Previously it was known as “Business Information Warehouse” (BIW ). It is one of the main component of SAP Netweaver technology. A company needs to play with their business data for more optimization & profitability & productivity. SAP BI (Business Intelligence) is a leading data warehousing and reporting tool. It helps convert raw data into information and insights that help improve business margins.
